Justin is currently CEO of Helio Health, an AI-based cancer detection company. Justin joined Helio as one of the original founding team members and helped lead the company through two pivotal business acquisitions, forming the foundation of the company today. At Helio, Justin has served in a number of key leadership roles including leading the Finance team and fundraising.
In addition to Helio Health, Justin plays an active role as Board Member at Sprightly Health, an infectious disease testing startup in Irvine, CA. At Sprightly Health, Justin has built partnerships with National University of Singapore and University of California Irvine to accelerate the research and development of a more accurate, rapid and reliable covid-19 testing technology.
Justin serves as a Partner at J&J Investments, an angel investment fund and venture studio that specializes in investing in and growing early stage biotech companies. At J&J, Justin oversees investments into healthcare and life sciences companies. Justin has been invited to speak at UNESCO, YJP CEO Healthcare Symposium, BIO, and the USC Marshall School of Business.
In his prior career, Justin was Consulting Manager for FactSet Research Systems (NASDAQ: FDS)’s consulting business, providing quantitative, risk, and portfolio analytics consulting services to institutional investors. After two years consulting for investors in San Francisco, Justin opened up FactSet’s first consulting practice in Los Angeles and was responsible for $30M of ARR, building a consulting team to support major hedge funds, investment banks and institutional asset managers in the Southern California region.
Prior to Factset, Justin worked on the trade floor of Phillips 66 (NASDAQ: PSX), where he held a Market Analyst and Hedge Analyst position, conducting hands-on fundamental and statistical analysis on spot and futures markets for diesel and jet fuel products and supporting billions of dollars of trade positions.
Justin started his career at Cellular Biomedicine Group (NASDAQ: CBMG), where he supported valuation models and investor due diligence for its crossover round prior to going public on NASDAQ.
Justin completed his BSBA in Finance at the University of Colorado Boulder and his MBA at the Walter A. Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley. Justin is a CFA charterholder and has been a member of the Young President’s Organization since 2019.
Justin lives with his fiancé and golden retriever in Irvine and grew up in Laguna Beach, where his parents still live.
