James Burritt, MBA

Mr. Burritt joined Pacific Life in August 2012, as a Senior Managing Director, and subsequently formed the Investment Manager in 2013. Mr. Burritt is responsible for the development of alternative investments programs, including private equity and hedge fund investments, for the Investment Manager and its affiliated entities. Prior to joining Pacific Life, from 2002 to 2012, Mr. Burritt served as a Managing Director and the Chief Investment Officer of Thomas H.Lee Capital Management, LLC ("THL"), an affiliate of one of the world's oldest and most experienced private equity firms, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of THL and built a multi-billion dollar alternative investments business.

From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Burritt also managed Rockledge Capital Management, L.P., which is the investment manager to The Eider Fund, a private fund of hedge funds, where he managed the account of an ultra-high net worth investor. Prior to joining THL, from 2001 to 2002, Mr. Burritt served as a Vice President in Merrill Lynch Investment Managers' Alternative Strategies Group, where he was responsible for hedge fund research, due diligence and portfolio construction for institutional clients, and also was the lead analyst in building Merrill Lynch's HedgeAccess Platform for high net worth clients. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Burritt was an investment analyst, and assisted in the development of corporate strategy around alternative investments, at XL Capital, a global re-insurance company. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Burritt was an investment analyst at Trout Trading Management Company, a futures and commodities focused hedge fund. Mr. Burritt earned an M.B.A. from Cornell University in 1997, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering, as well as a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, from Bucknell University in 1992.
